Designing anything for the FIFA World Cup is an honor, so when n+1 asked me to help them make a pitch to FIFA for the job I was very excited.  Working closely with n+1 I developed a couple preliminary frames for their pitch.  The mindset was to pay homage to the long standing traditions of Russia through touching on cultural Russian symbols like the faberge egg, the art deco inspired statues, and the gold gilding and vibrant fabrics often associated with various periods of it's history.
